Paypal no longer a viable means to purchase online casino credits

Paypal no longer a viable means to purchase online casino credits

We've known this for a few months now, but it appears that Paypal transactions will be refused at online casinos in the days and weeks to come.

In conjunction with the proposed purchase of Paypal by eBay, Paypal decided to phase out the online gambling portion of its transaction services. This week, several online casinos have informed their players that Paypal will begin refusing online gambling transactions immediately, and players should opt to use a Paypal alternative.

What does the Hog think about this? "Goodbye and good riddance!" Paypal was OK, but it wasn't the best method to purchase online casino credits anyway. Paypal is good at processing auction payments, but the Hog prefers those solutions that specialize in online gambling.

These alternatives include Firepay, Neteller, Prepaid ATM, and Central Coin. (Click on any of the four preceding links to see a list of casinos offering these methods.) Firepay and Neteller have been around awhile and are the Hog's favorites. Most online casinos currently offer one of these methods. Prepaid ATM is showing promise, and so is Central Coin. Look for your favorite online casinos to soon offer these alternative purchase methods (if they don't already).

For more information about these alternative purchase methods, visit their websites, as listed below.
